KONTRIBUSI LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) TERHADAP EFEKTIFITAS PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

The world of education has undergone significant changes as a result of advances in information and communication technology. One example is the Learning Management System (LMS) as a primary tool for online learning. LMS are considered capable of improving learning efficiency by making learning more interactive, flexible, and accessible. The purpose of this study was to determine how students perceive the use of LMS, identify key issues they face, and assess the effectiveness of LMS for learning using metrics such as interaction, material comprehension, and learning motivation. This study used a quantitative and descriptive approach and was conducted through the distribution of Likert-based questionnaires to 43 respondents from three study programs. The results showed that the main challenge lies in the internet connection (49% in the Pharmacy Study Program, 100% in the Mathematics Study Program, and 75% in the Industrial Engineering Study Program), followed by infrastructure and application/software challenges. Nevertheless, most students liked the LMS, as indicated by the high number of daily uses and use for more than one year. LMS plays a significant role in enhancing learning through interactive features, online assessments, and multimedia materials, and also serves as a strategic solution to reduce technical and social barriers involved in the learning process.
